A. No, you are not allowed to have another individual in the room while performing the hands on examination.  

A. The dry run is required to be cleared for virtual class registration. Our dry run process is designed to test your internet connection, equipment and camera setup. This step will determine whether or not virtual classes are a good fit for you. The dry run process helps both the technician and the instructor create a better testing environment and ensures the best possible virtual class experience. NOTE: Dry runs are required per office location/per class type (not per technician).   

A. The area will need to be free from distractions (including those who are working in your labs) for your assigned time slot. Usually, the hands on demonstration should take no more than 20 - 30 minutes.  

A. Yes, they can test in the same office as long as they are spaced apart and there are no more than two technicians to one camera view.  

A. No, technicians must have a printed copy of the digital manual for the exam. You will not be allowed to use the manual on your computer for testing.  

A. A 90% refund will be issued for any cancellation up to seven (7) business days prior to class start date. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less  than seven (7) business days before class start date. At any point you may substitute one technician for another without penalty up to class start date. A payment may be moved up to a maximum of (3) times, as long as it is within the permitted cancellation window.  

A. Contact the HMAC at 512-312-2099 to schedule a retest. Retest must be completed within 30 days of original test date.

A. If you fail the written retest you will need to sign up for another certification class. There is NOT a third attempt to retest the written exam. This means you will need to take both the written and practical exams again during your new certification class.

A. No.  If you fail the practical exam you must schedule another certification date to take both the written and practical portions again.
